How this list was compiled: Our own questions, written to the four sections of the ATI TEAS as Assessment Technologies Institute (ATI) describes them on its TEAS Exam Details page (https://www.atitesting.com/teas/exam-details, read 2026-10-09, headed "TEAS Version 7 is now live"): reading 45 questions in 55 minutes, mathematics 38 in 57, science 50 in 60, English and language usage 37 in 37; 170 questions in 209 minutes. The bank holds four tenths of each section: 18, 15, 20 and 15, split by ATI's content areas (reading 7 key ideas and details, 4 craft and structure, 7 integration of knowledge and ideas; mathematics 8 numbers and algebra, 7 measurement and data; science 8 human anatomy and physiology, 4 biology, 4 chemistry, 4 scientific reasoning; English 5 conventions, 5 knowledge of language, 5 vocabulary). Seven short texts were written for the reading questions; each names no real person or place and holds the answer. Every mathematics answer is worked out again from the numbers in its question. Every science fact was read on 2026-10-09 in the public source the question names: the SEER Training Modules of the National Cancer Institute, the MedlinePlus Medical Encyclopedia, the Genetics Glossary of the National Human Genome Research Institute, the SI Units page of the National Institute of Standards and Technology, and Wikipedia. Every usage rule was read the same day in the section of Writing for Success (Saylor Academy, 2012, CC BY-NC-SA; https://saylordotorg.github.io/text_writing-for-success/) that the question names. Licence: Questions, choices, texts and explanations are original work of this site.

What is in this bank

Four tenths of each real section, as ATI's TEAS Exam Details page listed them on October 9, 2026: 18 reading questions, 15 mathematics, 20 science and 15 English and language usage.

Timing

Exam mode asks all 68 questions in 84 minutes, the pace of the real test. On the real test each section has its own clock.

One section in depth

The TEAS science practice test has 50 more science questions, the length of the real section.

  • On the real TEAS, finishing a section early adds no time to the next one.
  • A 10-minute break is offered after the math section, and it uses none of the testing time.
  • A question left unanswered is scored as incorrect and guessing carries no penalty, so answer every one.

Questions and answers

Is there a free printable TEAS practice test PDF?

Yes. The paper test prints the questions, a bubble answer sheet and a key. Choose Save as PDF in your browser's print window to keep it as a file. There is no charge and no sign-up.

Which version of the TEAS does this practice test follow?

The current one. ATI's exam details page reads "TEAS Version 7 is now live", and ATI counts seven blueprints since the TEAS began. A practice test labeled with a lower number, such as TEAS 6 or TEAS 4, follows an older one.

How many questions are on the TEAS exam?

170, in four separately timed sections, with 209 minutes of testing time. ATI scores 150 of them. The other 20 are unscored pretest questions mixed into the sections, and nothing marks which they are.

What is a passing score on the TEAS?

ATI sets none. Each school sets its own cut score, so check the program you are applying to. ATI reports a total score and a score for each of the four content areas, from 0 to 100%.

Is this the ATI TEAS practice test?

No. ATI sells its own practice tests, and this is not one of them. Every question here is our own, written from ATI's published outline; none is copied or reworded from the exam or from ATI's materials.
