What the exam covers

The 2026 NCLEX-PN Test Plan, read October 7, 2026, weights coordinated care 21%, safety and infection control 13%, health promotion 9%, psychosocial integrity 12%, basic care and comfort 10%, pharmacological therapies 13%, reduction of risk potential 12% and physiological adaptation 10%. This bank holds 18, 11, 8, 10, 8, 11, 10 and 9.

Timing

Exam mode asks all 85 questions, the fewest items a real exam gives, in 170 minutes: two minutes each, as 150 items in five hours allow.

Practical nurse scope

The plan has the LPN/VN collect data, reinforce teaching, monitor and report, so the questions stay at that level. Each cites a public page such as MedlinePlus or the CDC.

  • Coordinated care is the largest category. Its questions here are on consent, delegation, privacy, event reporting and handoff.

Questions and answers

Is this a free LPN practice test with answers?

Yes. This NCLEX-PN prep has no charge and no sign-up. Each question shows the right answer with a short reason and the public page the fact was read in.

Is an LVN practice test different from an LPN practice exam?

No. The 2026 test plan addresses licensed practical and vocational nurses together as LPN/VN: both sit the same NCLEX-PN, so one bank serves both names.

How many questions are on the NCLEX-PN?

At least 85 and at most 150 in five hours, breaks included. A minimum-length exam has 52 content-area items, 18 case study items and 15 unscored pretest items, by the 2026 NCLEX-PN Test Plan.

Is this the official NCLEX-PN practice exam?

No. It is unofficial. NCSBN publishes its own sample pack and candidate tutorial on NCLEX.com; this is a separate bank, and none of its questions repeats or rewords an NCSBN item.

Does this LPN practice test cover pharmacology?

Eleven questions here are on pharmacological therapies. The NCLEX-PN pharmacology page has 60 more on safety, routes, adverse effects and dose arithmetic.
