Five selected-response subareas, weighted as field 211 weights them

Field 211's framework, read on the CEOE site on October 13, 2026, gives Relations, Functions, and Algebra the largest share, 23% of the test. Trigonometry and Calculus follows at 18%, Measurement and Geometry at 16%, Probability, Statistics, and Discrete Mathematics at 15%, and Number Properties and Number Sense at 13%. The 50 questions here split 13, 11, 9, 9 and 8 in that order.

A formulas page and a written assignment

A page of definitions and formulas comes with the test, the test page says. A lesson-plan analysis written by the candidate carries the last 15% of the score and is not practiced here.

  • Competency 0019 is discrete mathematics: counting, recurrence relations, sequences and series, graph theory, logic and linear programming.

Questions and answers

How many questions are on the OSAT Advanced Mathematics test?

Field 211 has 80 selected-response questions and one constructed-response assignment. The test page allows 4 hours for both, after a 15-minute tutorial, and warns that a form may include unscored trial questions.

What is the passing score for OSAT Advanced Mathematics?

240 is the figure on the test page. Since the lesson-plan assignment feeds into that score, a count of right answers on this page has no scaled equivalent, and no pass verdict appears after a round.

Can you use a calculator on the OSAT Advanced Mathematics test?

Yes. The test page says the test comes with a scientific calculator on screen. It offers field 211 only at test centers, by appointment, and names no online-proctored version.

Is there calculus on the OSAT Advanced Mathematics test?

Yes. Subarea III, Trigonometry and Calculus, is 18% of the test. Its competencies 0011 to 0013 cover limits and continuity, differential calculus and integral calculus, first-order differential equations included.
