OSAT Middle Level/Intermediate Mathematics (225): four selected-response subareas

By the framework on the CEOE site, read October 13, 2026: Number Properties and Number Sense is 16% of the test, Relations, Functions, and Algebra 34%, Measurement and Geometry 21%, and Probability and Statistics 14%. This bank holds 9, 20, 13 and 8. A written analysis of a lesson plan and student work makes up the last 15%, and this page has no practice for it.

Past middle school math

Relations, Functions, and Algebra is a third of the test and reaches into calculus. Competency 0007 asks for logarithmic and piecewise functions, limits, and the derivative and integral of polynomial functions; competency 0001 includes basic matrix operations.

  • The test page says an on-screen scientific calculator and a page of definitions and formulas are provided with the test.
  • Competency 0005 takes systems of linear equations and inequalities up to three variables.
