OSAT Middle Level Science (026): the four subareas
By the framework on the CEOE site, read October 11, 2026, the selected-response questions weigh Foundations of Scientific Inquiry 6%, Life Science 26%, Physical Science 32%, and Earth and Space Science 21% of the score. One constructed-response assignment on scientific inquiry carries the other 15%. The bank holds 4, 15, 18 and 12 questions.
Two versions of the real test
The test page says candidates may take either this CEOE version or the National Evaluation Series version, Middle Grades General Science, and should ask their preparation program or the Oklahoma State Department of Education which to choose.
A half-length exam
The exam here draws 40 questions, half the real 80, with no clock: the real 4 hours also cover the written assignment.
The test page lists no reference materials, so work the density, power and Ohm's law questions without a formula sheet.
