Questions and answers

How many questions are on the New Mexico property and casualty exam?

The outline effective July 1, 2026 lists 150 items in 2.5 hours, 15 of them on Insurance Regulation. The candidate bulletin adds that 5 to 10 unscored experimental questions may appear.

What score passes the New Mexico insurance exam?

The candidate bulletin that the Office of Superintendent of Insurance links says you must get 70 percent correct to pass. That mark covers the whole exam, so a state-law page like this one reports a score and no pass or fail.

Is this New Mexico property and casualty practice test free?

Yes, all 110 questions are free, and nothing you answer leaves your browser. They were written for this page from the statutes and rules; the Office of Superintendent of Insurance has not reviewed them.

What are New Mexico's minimum auto insurance limits?

Section 66-5-208 sets $25,000 for bodily injury to or death of one person, $50,000 for two or more persons and $10,000 for property of others in any one accident.

Does this practice test cover homeowners and auto policy forms?

No. Policy forms and general insurance concepts fill most of the exam and are not asked here. Exam mode draws 15 questions, the size of the Insurance Regulation part.
