Five areas from the published outline
The NH-JAM Content Outline of June 23, 2026 gives the Board 2 of 40 items, licensure and examination 12, patient care management 12, disciplinary actions 12 and consumer advocacy 2. The law behind it is RSA 328-A and the rules Phy 100 to 500.
What is particular to New Hampshire
Assistants work under general supervision, and no fixed number caps how many one therapist supervises. Renewal takes 24 contact hours every two years, half of them clinical.
- Supervision has three statutory levels: general, direct and direct personal. RSA 328-A:2 defines each, and telecommunications satisfies only the first.
- Misconduct in Phy 405.01 includes not reporting another licensee's apparent misconduct within 30 days.
Questions and answers
How many questions are on the NH JAM?
Forty, in 90 minutes, on the Federation's NH JAM page. Passing takes 80 percent, the same mark Phy 303.04 sets. The page sets no limit on the number of attempts.
Who has to take the New Hampshire jurisprudence exam?
Applicants for an initial license or reinstatement (Phy 303.04), current licensees in April, May or June of years ending in 0 and 5 (Phy 402.03), and, on the Federation's page, applicants buying a first compact privilege.
Is the New Hampshire JAM open book?
Yes. Phy 303.04 says the module is open book, available on a secure website, and taken individually without consulting others.
Are these the real NH JAM questions?
No. They are unofficial, written for this page from RSA 328-A and the Phy rules. The New Hampshire Physical Therapy Governing Board and the Federation took no part, and no item of the real module appears.
