How this list was compiled: Our own questions on the law the Nevada State Board of Dental Examiners' jurisprudence examination covers. NRS 631.240(2) and 631.300(2) say the Board shall examine each applicant in writing on the contents and interpretation of chapter 631 and the regulations of the Board, and the Board's Initial Licensing Application Guide (rev. 3/2026, https://www.dental.nv.gov/siteassets/applications--forms-links/initial-license-application-guide.pdf, opened 2026-10-15) lists an online jurisprudence exam, with registration provided by the Board office, on its checklists for licensure by examination, by endorsement, by specialty credential and by military credential, for dental therapy licenses and for most limited and restricted licenses. The Board publishes no question count, time limit, pass mark or content outline for it, so the five topics here are this site's own sorting. Every fact was read on 2026-10-15 in the two texts the Board's Laws and Regulations page (https://www.dental.nv.gov/laws--regulations/) points to: Nevada Revised Statutes Chapter 631 (https://www.leg.state.nv.us/nrs/NRS-631.html, revision of 4/15/2026) and Nevada Administrative Code Chapter 631 (https://www.leg.state.nv.us/nac/NAC-631.html). Each question names its section and links to it. Licence: Questions, choices and explanations are original work of this site, written from the public text of the Nevada statutes and regulations. Nothing is taken from the Board's jurisprudence examination, a prep company or a review book.

What is left out

Statute and regulation only; every question names the section it rests on. Fees, anesthesia and sedation permits, dental therapists, expanded function dental assistants and the immunization endorsement are not asked. NRS Chapter 631 is read in the revision of April 15, 2026. Practice for an exam, not medical advice.

  • Most Nevada licenses renew every two years by June 30, and a missed deadline suspends the license automatically (NRS 631.330).
  • On a two-year license dentists owe forty hours of continuing education and hygienists thirty, four of them on infection control (NAC 631.173, 631.175).
  • A hygienist's scaling or sealants need the dentist's authorization and an examination of the patient within the past 18 months (NAC 631.210).

Questions and answers

Is the Nevada dental jurisprudence exam online?

Yes. The Board's Initial Licensing Application Guide, revised March 2026, lists an online jurisprudence exam on its licensing checklists and says the Board office provides the registration.

How many questions are on the Nevada dental jurisprudence exam?

The Board's licensing guide gives no question count, time limit or pass mark, so this page does not guess them. A mock run here asks 25 questions with no clock and gives a score without a verdict.

What does the Nevada dental jurisprudence exam cover?

NRS 631.240 and 631.300 have the Board examine each applicant in writing on the contents and interpretation of chapter 631 and the regulations of the Board. Those regulations are NAC Chapter 631.

Who has to take the Nevada jurisprudence exam?

Applicants for a Nevada license. The guide lists the exam on its checklists for licensure by examination, endorsement, specialty credential and military credential, for dental therapy licenses and for most limited and restricted licenses.

Are these the real Nevada jurisprudence exam questions?

No. Every question here was written for this site from the public text of NRS and NAC Chapter 631, never from the exam. The Nevada State Board of Dental Examiners has not reviewed this page.
