The three exams this test follows
Each MOS certification is one exam on one program. This bank follows Microsoft's skills outlines, read on October 9, 2026, for Word (MO-110), Excel (MO-210) and PowerPoint (MO-310), all in the Microsoft 365 Apps version. Inside each program the questions are spread near that exam's published weights.
What is not asked here
The real exams are tasks done inside each program, so this is a knowledge check and not a simulation. The Expert exams for Word and Excel, the Excel specialty exams, and the Office 2019 exams for Outlook and Access are left out. Formula results are on the Excel certification page.
- On a PowerPoint slide master, one change reaches every slide that is based on that master.
- Press F4 while editing an Excel formula to switch a reference between relative, absolute and mixed.
- A Word section break set to Even Page at the end of page 3 starts the next section on page 4.
Questions and answers
How many questions are on a MOS exam?
Certiport's exam lengths page, read on October 9, 2026, gives 33 to 37 for each of Word, Excel and PowerPoint and 23 to 27 for the two Expert exams. Every one of them lasts 50 minutes and covers a single program.
Are MOS exams multiple choice?
No. They are live-in-the-application, in Microsoft's words: you are given tasks and carry them out in the program. A knowledge test like this one shows which commands to go and practice there.
What is a passing score on the MOS exam?
700, on the scale of 1 to 1000 that Certiport uses for its exams. Microsoft adds that the score needed depends on the exam. The result here is a count of right answers by program, with no pass or fail.
Is there still a MOS 2013 or 2016 practice test?
No current exam matches one. The MOS 2016 certifications were retired on June 30, 2026, and Certiport's list now holds Microsoft 365 Apps and Office 2019 exams. These questions follow three Microsoft 365 Apps outlines.
