How this list was compiled: Own questions, written to the subjects of the Google Ads certifications that Google lists on Skillshop (https://skillshop.withgoogle.com, whose certification catalogue is served at https://skillshop.docebosaas.com/learn/public/catalog/view/1, read 2026-10-09, with the course page of each certification) and to Google Ads Help, About Google Ads certifications (https://support.google.com/google-ads/answer/9702955, read 2026-10-09), which gives the time limit and the passing score. Facts were read on 2026-10-09 in Google Ads Help at support.google.com/google-ads. Each question names the article it was written from and links to it. Licence: Own work. Every question, wrong choice and explanation was written for this site from the public Google Ads Help articles named in each question. Nothing is copied or reworded from a Skillshop assessment, a Skillshop knowledge check, a practice product or a question dump.

The certifications this test follows

Skillshop lists the Google Ads certifications. By Google Ads Help, read on October 9, 2026, the Search, Display, Video, Shopping ads and Apps ones count toward a company's Google Partner status.

What is not asked here

Google Ads Help gives no question count and no section weights, so the split is ours: 27 Search questions, then 5 to 8 for each other certification. The Search Professional, Video Professional, Creative, AI-Powered Performance Ads and Grow Offline Sales certifications are left out.

  • Quality Score is a diagnostic tool and not an input in the ad auction. Ad Rank decides whether and where an ad shows.
  • Negative keywords do not cover synonyms or plurals. Add each one you want to exclude.
  • For most campaigns the spending limit is twice the average daily budget in a day and 30.4 times it in a month.
