Which exams Maine gives
Chapter 31 has commercial applicators pass a closed book core exam plus an exam for each category. A master applicant then passes a regulations exam on the Board's rule chapters and a master exam. Private applicators pass core and a commodity exam under Chapter 32.
What this bank covers
Maine's own rules, from seven of the Board's chapters: licenses, on-site supervision, records and annual reports, notification and posting, drift standards and penalties. Federal label and worker protection rules are on the pesticide applicator practice test.
Length of a mock exam
The Board's rules print no question count, so a mock exam here is 40 questions, our number, marked at the rules' pass mark.
- An unlicensed applicator needs a licensed one on the client's property the entire time, in visual and voice contact; video does not count.
- Keep three distances apart: registry notice within 250 feet, sensitive areas recorded within 500 feet, aerial notice requests within 1,000 feet.
