What the Algebra 1 EOC covers
The blueprint has three reporting categories. Expressions, Functions, and Data Analysis holds exponents and radicals, function notation, rates of change and data displays. Linear Relationships holds linear equations, inequalities, systems and lines of fit. Non-Linear Relationships holds polynomials, factoring, quadratic, absolute value and exponential functions, and compound interest.
How the answers are checked
Each question names the B.E.S.T. benchmark it practices, and every answer is algebra on the numbers in the question, worked out a second time. The test facts come from the state's fact sheet and test design summary, named in the box under the questions.
- After you solve an equation, put your answer back into it to see that both sides match.
Questions and answers
How many questions are on the Florida Algebra 1 EOC?
45 to 50 items in a single 160-minute session; a short break follows the first 80 minutes. In spring about 5 of the items are field test items that do not count toward the score.
What score do you need on the Algebra 1 EOC in Florida?
Scores run from 325 to 475 in five achievement levels. Level 3, which the state calls On Grade Level, begins at 400. Graduation rules are in the state's own guidance, not on this page.
Is there an Algebra 1 FAST practice test?
FAST is Florida's progress monitoring test in reading and, for grades 3 to 8, in mathematics. Algebra 1 has the B.E.S.T. end-of-course assessment, and a middle grades student enrolled in Algebra 1 takes it in place of the grade-level mathematics test.
Can you use a calculator on the Florida Algebra 1 EOC?
Yes. An online scientific calculator and a reference sheet are provided in the testing platform, and students may use an approved handheld scientific calculator.
