How it works

How to use this TABE practice test
Start with the subject you worry about most. Each subject runs from Level E, the easiest, up to Level A, so the place where your answers start going wrong is the level to practice. Exam mode gives a whole subject against the real clock.
What is different here
A real test is taken at one level. Our reading texts are a few sentences long so they fit a phone screen, and every question has four choices; the real mathematics test also has gridded-response questions.
You can place at a different level in each subject, so try all three before you decide what to study.
The publisher says the online mathematics test uses a Desmos calculator. Practice with the same one.
Questions and answers
Is there a TABE test questions and answers PDF?
Yes, as a printed sheet. Finish a round, press Print and tick the answer key; Save as PDF in the print window keeps a copy. The questions are ours, not the publisher's.
What do the TABE test levels mean?
E, M, D and A run from easiest to hardest. The publisher's blueprints tie Level E to grade 2 and 3 standards, M to grades 4 to 6, D to grades 6 to 8 and A to high school. A Locator Test places you.
Is this a TABE 13 14 practice test, or TABE 11/12 or 9/10?
It follows TABE 13&14, the current edition, which the publisher dates to 2025. TABE 11&12 dates to 2018 and TABE 9&10 to 2003. Ask your program which edition it gives.
Is a GED TABE practice test the same as GED practice?
No. TABE measures basic skills and awards no diploma. Adult education and high school equivalency programs use it to place students, and the publisher says its scores are in most cases good predictors of performance on equivalency tests.
What score do I need on the Job Corps TABE test or the CNA TABE test?
The publisher neither sets nor recommends cut scores. Each program decides which subjects, level and score it asks for, so the number comes from your Job Corps center or your nursing assistant school.
