Questions and answers
What is the MTEL health test called?
Health/Family and Consumer Sciences, field 21. It is the one test with health in its name on the MTEL test list, which shows no separate Health Education test.
How many questions are on the MTEL Health test?
100 multiple-choice questions and 2 open-response assignments in 4 hours of testing time. With an online proctor, the multiple-choice section gets 2 hours 15 minutes and the open-response section 1 hour 45 minutes.
Does this health MTEL practice test have a passing score?
No pass mark is set here. On the real test the MTEL site gives a qualifying score of 240; the four multiple-choice subareas are 80% of it and the open-response items 20%, so a number right here carries no verdict.
Is there an MTEL study guide for health education?
The official materials are on the MTEL site: the test information guide for field 21, with the overview, the test objectives and sample questions, and a practice test. These 41 questions are our own and name the objective each was written to.
Can the MTEL Health test be taken online?
Yes. The test page gives two ways to sit it: at a test center, by appointment year-round, or with an online proctor in one-week testing windows every month.
