Psychology law exam part 2 practice test: the regulations
The exam's content outline has two parts. Part I, Law Act 52, is 9 of the 30 scored questions; Part II, Regulations Code Title 49 Chapter 41, is 21. Here Part I has 24 questions and Part II has 56, on licenses, supervision, records, continuing education, the Code of Ethics and child abuse reporting.
Where each answer comes from
Each answer rests on the Act and Chapter 41 as published on October 12, 2026. Law only: nothing clinical is asked. Practice for an exam, not medical advice.
- The Board has nine members, six of them licensed psychologists (Act 52, section 3.1).
- Renewal takes 30 contact hours a biennium, at least 3 in ethics and 2 in child abuse recognition and reporting (§ 41.59).
- Records are kept at least 5 years after the last date of service (§ 41.57).
Questions and answers
How many questions are on the Pennsylvania Psychology Law Exam?
The March 2026 Candidate Information Bulletin gives 30 scored multiple choice questions, four options each, in 60 minutes. A timed run here is the same length and clock.
What is a passing score on the PPLE?
The bulletin gives a passing scaled score of 75 on a scale of 0 to 100, and says it is neither the number nor the percentage of questions answered correctly. A percent on this page is not that score.
Is there a free Pennsylvania psychology law exam study guide?
The two texts the outline names are free: Act 52 on the General Assembly's site and Chapter 41 on the Pennsylvania Code site. This page turns them into practice, and each answer names the section to read.
Do I need both the EPPP and the PPLE for a Pennsylvania license?
49 Pa. Code § 41.41(b) asks for a passing score on the Examination for Professional Practice in Psychology and on the Pennsylvania Psychology Law Examination. This page covers the law examination only.
Is this the real Pennsylvania Psychology Law Exam?
No. The questions are our own, written from the public text of the Act and the regulations, never from the exam. The Pennsylvania State Board of Psychology did not write or review this page.
