How this list was compiled: Our own questions, written to the test design and framework of Oklahoma Subject Area Tests field 114, Physics, in the study guide on the Certification Examinations for Oklahoma Educators website (https://www.ceoe.nesinc.com/Content/StudyGuide/OK_SG_OBJ_114.htm, copyright 2024 Office of Educational Quality and Accountability and Pearson Education, Inc.; test page https://www.ceoe.nesinc.com/TestView.aspx?f=HTML_FRAG/OK114_TestPage.html, read 2026-10-15): 80 selected-response questions and 1 constructed-response assignment in 4 hours, passing score 240, an on-screen scientific calculator and a page of constants and formulas provided; selected response weighs Motion, Forces, Work, and Energy (competencies 0001 to 0003) 32%, Electricity, Magnetism, and Waves (0004 to 0006) 29% and Thermal and Modern Physics (0007 to 0009) 24%, and the constructed response (0010) 15%. The bank holds 50: 19, 17 and 14, with five to seven for each of the nine selected-response competencies. The numbers use the values on the test's own constants page (g = 9.81 m/s², h = 6.63 × 10⁻³⁴ J·s). Every law was read on the public page named under its question, a Wikipedia article or a page of HyperPhysics at Georgia State University, and each calculation was worked twice from the rule that page states. Licence: Questions, choices and explanations are original work of this site.
How it works
Fifty questions of our own for Physics, field 114 of the Oklahoma Subject Area Tests, spread over its nine selected-response competencies. This page is unofficial: the test belongs to Oklahoma's Office of Educational Quality and Accountability and Pearson, who had no hand in it.

What field 114 weighs
Three subareas are scored by multiple choice: Motion, Forces, Work, and Energy at 32% of the test, Electricity, Magnetism, and Waves at 29%, and Thermal and Modern Physics at 24%. The bank follows with 19, 17 and 14 questions (framework opened October 15, 2026).
The constants and formulas pages
The real test supplies four pages of notes, constants and formulas. The sums here use its values, g = 9.81 m/s² and h = 6.63 × 10⁻³⁴ J·s among them, and its convention that current flows from positive to negative.
The lesson analysis
The last 15% is one written assignment: analyze a lesson plan and a student work sample against a science standard, then describe differentiated follow-up. Nothing here rehearses it.
Every selected-response competency ends with two descriptors: science and engineering practices, and crosscutting concepts between physics and other scientific fields.
Questions and answers
How many questions are on the OSAT Physics test?
The test page for field 114 lists 80 selected-response questions and 1 constructed-response assignment. Testing time is 4 hours, after 15 minutes for a tutorial and a nondisclosure agreement, by appointment year-round.
What is the passing score for OSAT Physics?
The test page sets it at 240. The written assignment counts toward that score, so a number right on these questions cannot be turned into a scaled score, and no pass verdict is shown here.
Is a calculator allowed on the OSAT Physics test?
An on-screen scientific calculator is provided with the test. The formulas pages carry a warning: not all formulas necessary are listed, nor are all formulas listed used.
What is on the OSAT Physics test?
Newton's laws, kinematics, rotation, equilibrium and the conservation laws; then charge, circuits, magnetism, induction, waves and optics; then heat, kinetic theory and thermodynamics, quantum theory, relativity, the atom and the nucleus.
