OSAT Library-Media Specialist (138): three selected-response subareas
By the framework read October 15, 2026: The Professional Library-Media Specialist, 28% of the test; Learner-Centered Practices, Resources, and Environments, 30%; Library Program Administration, 27%. This bank holds 16, 18 and 16.
Oklahoma's own rules
Seven questions rest on Oklahoma law: who may see a borrower's records and which agency is the state's library agency (Title 65), the community-standards statute for school collections (Title 70), and the accreditation standards for a school's media program, with its staffing by enrollment, its minimum collection and its minimum yearly spending.
The written assignment
The remaining 15% is one constructed-response assignment: analyze learner data and plan instruction for an information literacy or inquiry skills need. These questions do not rehearse that writing.
- Competency 0001 sets out the roles the test asks about: teacher, instructional partner, information specialist, program manager, and leader and advocate.

Professional roles, standards, ethics and collaboration; child development, instruction, library environments and information literacy; then the program itself: intellectual freedom, the collection, evaluation, budget and staff.
When is the OSAT Library-Media Specialist test given?
The test page lists appointments during specific testing windows, at test centers in Oklahoma and nationwide. It names no online-proctored option for field 138 and provides no reference materials.
