What the real test asks

The framework of May 2018 gives 15 of the 90 selected-response items to each of six competencies, 80% of the score. One written response, an analysis of a student's profile and assessment results, carries the other 20%.

What this page covers

Eight of the 42 questions rest on New York's Part 200 regulations or the federal special education regulations, with the section named. Timed, the 42 take 63 minutes, the pace of 90 in 135.

  • Part 200 has a rule for the youngest: a child under three with a severe hearing loss is a deaf infant.
