Five subjects in one subject exam
Exam 905 has five competencies: visual arts, music, health, physical education and theatre. The framework gives no weights among them, so the bank holds ten questions on each.
40 questions in 35 minutes
That is the length of the real subject exam, the shortest of the five in Core Subjects EC–6. The timed round does the same with 40 of the 50 questions.
Written from the Texas standards
Thirty-seven questions quote the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills: art, music and theatre in 19 TAC Chapter 117, and the health and physical education standards adopted in 2020, Chapters 115 and 116.
In the standards, "including" marks content that must be mastered and "such as" marks an example. The tempo and dynamics terms here are required.
Health questions ask what the standards expect students to learn in a grade. They are exam practice, not health advice.
Questions and answers
What does the fine arts, health and PE subject exam cover?
How to teach five subjects from early childhood to Grade 6: the elements and principles of art, music terms and notation, health concepts and safety, movement skills and fitness, and the elements of theatre, each tied to the Texas standards.
Can you retake only the fine arts, health and PE subject exam?

What score passes the fine arts section of Core Subjects EC-6?
240 on each subject exam. The exam's page reports the overall result as Passed or Not Passed, with no total passing score.
