The five testlets
United States History (111), World History (112), Geography (113), Civics and Political Science (114) and Economics (115) each have about 20 questions and a 30-minute clock. Each has two objectives of equal weight, and this bank asks five questions on each.
Georgia in the questions
The framework aligns its objectives with Georgia's social studies standards for grades 4 to 8. Nine questions are set in Georgia: the colony's founding, the March to the Sea, the county unit system, the Fall Line, the ports and the General Assembly among them.
Sources and timing
Answers on the founding documents quote National Archives transcriptions; the rest name a Wikipedia article or another public page. The timed test gives 75 minutes for the 50 questions.
- With about 20 questions a testlet, each of the ten objectives is worth about ten questions on the real assessment: split study time evenly.
