Read the full guide
Nine competencies and their weights
Information technology carries about 15% of the questions, and so does foundations, teaching methods and professional development. Seven carry 10% each: business communications, accounting and personal finance, management and administrative procedures, entrepreneurship and marketing, business law and ethics, international business, and career development.
Timing
The real test gives 2 hours 30 minutes. Exam mode asks 48 of the 50 questions here in 90 minutes, the same time per question.
A teaching exam too
Competency 7 covers teaching the subject: curriculum planning, partnerships, student organizations, lesson presentation and assessment. Four of its seven questions here cite the Perkins Act or a Florida statute on career and professional education; three are on assessment and lesson design.
Four answers are arithmetic, worked after each one: total assets, net income, a contribution margin and a balance of trade.
Information technology spans keyboarding, spreadsheets, databases, mail merge, networks, troubleshooting, coding and cloud services, so no single program is enough.
