What an Ohio American history practice test has to cover
Ohio's blueprint has three reporting categories. The largest, 22 to 24 of the test's 53 to 55 points, runs from 1877 to 1945: industrialization, immigration, Progressive reforms, overseas expansion, the 1920s, the Depression and both world wars. The years from 1945 to the present carry 17 to 19 points: the Cold War, civil rights and the post-Cold War world. Skills and Documents carries 12 to 14.
The documents before 1877
The course starts after Reconstruction, yet the blueprint reaches back to four content statements on founding documents. The Northwest Ordinance has a statement to itself, beside the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution and the Federalist and Anti-Federalist debate. Its ban on slavery and its line on schools are both in the questions.
Sort the amendments by number: 16 income tax, 17 direct election of senators, 18 Prohibition, 19 women's suffrage, 21 repeal of Prohibition.
Keep the two Red Scares apart. The first, 1919 to 1920, followed the rise of communism in Russia; the second came with the Cold War.

Is the Ohio American history state test taken in 9th grade?

180 minutes in all, in two parts of 90 minutes each, according to the state's testing times.
