How this list was compiled: Our own questions, written to the objectives of the GACE Geography (6–12) assessment, test code 720, as its Assessment Design and Framework prints them on the GACE website of the Georgia Professional Standards Commission and Evaluation Systems, Pearson (https://www.gace.es.pearson.com/studyguide/framework/720 and https://www.gace.es.pearson.com/test/720, read 2026-10-15): three testlets, 100 selected-response questions (239 Physical and Environmental Geography, 40 questions, 60 minutes; 240 Cultural and Political Geography, 30, 45 minutes; 241 Population and Economic Geography, 30, 45 minutes), each testlet with two objectives of 50%. This bank holds 20, 15 and 15. Every fact was read on 2026-10-15 on the page named under its question: the New Georgia Encyclopedia, NOAA, the U.S. Geological Survey, NASA Earth Observatory, the EPA, FEMA, the National Archives, the U.S. Trade Representative, the Secretariat of the Antarctic Treaty, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, the United Nations, and Wikipedia articles. The two answers that are arithmetic were each worked a second time. Licence: Questions, choices and explanations are original work of this site.

The three testlets
Physical and Environmental Geography (239) is the largest: about 40 of the 100 questions, in 60 minutes. Cultural and Political Geography (240) and Population and Economic Geography (241) have about 30 each, in 45 minutes. This bank holds 20, 15 and 15.
Georgia on the test
The framework names Georgia's five regions, the fall line, the Okefenokee Swamp, the Chattahoochee and Savannah rivers and the barrier islands. Four questions here are on Georgia: a region, the fall line, the Chattahoochee and the ports.
Clock and figures
A timed run gives 75 minutes for the 50 questions, the real minute and a half each. Two questions are worked with numbers, a map scale and a physiological density; the GACE page for Geography lists no reference materials.
Each testlet has two objectives worth half each, so cultural geography counts as much as political, and population as much as economic.
Questions and answers
How many questions are on the GACE Geography test?
It has 100 selected-response questions in three testlets. The three clocks add up to 2 hours 30 minutes, and each testing session adds 15 minutes for a tutorial and a nondisclosure agreement.
What is a passing score on the GACE Geography test?
At least 220 as a cumulative score, and each testlet's floor, its minimum required score, as well. A number right on this page cannot be turned into that score, so no pass or fail is shown.
Can you take the GACE Geography testlets separately?
Yes. One session can hold one, two or all three testlets, as you choose when you register.
Is this GACE Geography practice test the real exam?
No. All 50 questions were written for this site from the published objectives of test 720 and from public sources. None is taken or reworded from a real question or from the sample questions of the GACE study guide.
